PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- Arizona's Family often gets story ideas from you -- the viewers. When one Valley woman contacted us this week on Facebook, we knew we had to help.

Michelle Rankin was out for a walk with her dog, Milo, when he made an unexpected discovery. He found a memory card and what appeared to be other digital cards that held hundreds of pictures. "There are family (pics), special events, and vacation," she said. "I'm thinking, 'who?' And it's from 2012."

The significant find happened in Rankin's neighborhood near 35th Avenue and Greenway Road. Michelle says she knows the people in her community and doesn't recognize the faces in any of the pictures. "Looks like they had a lot of fun, that's for sure," Rankin said while looking through the photos on her computer. "They have horses and a goat. Wow!"

Rankin's hoping the vacations and Christmas snapshots will look familiar to someone. Michelle spent most of her life in Pennsylvania; she has seven siblings and knows the power of a simple photo. "My grandmother and I used to look at pictures, photo albums, from when she went to Ireland with her mom," Rankin said. "It was a storytime when I was a little kid, and now it's like, 'Oh my heavens.' We have that for my family -- and I'm sure these people would like to have these pictures as well."

The lost items were found in front of a house that burned awhile back. Rankin said no one has been living there. We don't know the circumstances surrounding these missing photos, but Ranking is hoping to find the rightful owners.

If any of the photos look familiar, please contact Arizona's Family, and we can get you in contact with Michelle.
