WEST SPRINGFIELD — After spending the winter months cooped up indoors, many people braved a chilly day and made their way to the Springfield RV, Camping & Outdoors show on Friday.

Thoughts of warmer weather activities are expected to draw thousands of visitors to the four-day show, housed in the Better Living Center, Young Building and Mallary Complex on the Eastern States Exposition grounds in West Springfield.

The event — billed the largest RV show in New England — features more than 200 exhibitors, including RV dealers, campgrounds, specialty products and entertainment spread out over 270,000 square feet. Additional entertainment and activities will be available on Monday, Kid's Day.

The Springfield RV, Camping & Outdoor Show is hosted by Pioneer Valley Chapter 8 of the North American Family Campers Association. It continues on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Monday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors 60 and older, DAV and military, and free for children 12 and under. Parking at Eastern States Exposition grounds on 1305 Memorial Ave. is $5.
