Jack Suozzi drained five 3-pointers as part of his 20 points for seventh-seeded Princeton in its 69-41 victory against 10th-seeded Trenton in the first round of the Mercer County Tournament in Princeton.
Princeton (13-10) outscored Trenton (7-15) by a total of 40-23 in the second half. Tim Evidente had 17 points as the second-leading scorer in the win while Ethan Guy and Gefen Bar-Cohen tallied 11 points apiece.
Bradon Moore led Trenton with nine points.
Princeton will take on second-seeded Robbinsville in the quarterfinal round on Friday in Robbinsville at a time to be determined.
