There were no chocolates or flowers for Valentine's Day at San Francisco Giants spring training but players offered up tons of fast pitches and deep hits into the grass area of Scottsdale Stadium.
San Francisco Giants pitchers and catchers continued their spring training work on Friday with a series of fielding exercises for pitchers, throwing exercises and batting practice for catchers.
Practice will look similar until the Giants full squad reports on Feb. 17. The team will play its first spring game versus their division rival the Los Angeles Dodgers at 1:05 p.m. Feb. 22 at Scottsdale Stadium.
The teams will meet again for the first game of the MLB regular season at 1:10 p.m. March 26 in Los Angeles.
