It was difficult to imagine a baseball game would be played after the large amount of rain that hit Scottsdale Stadium on Saturday morning but baseball found a way. Soon after 2 p.m. the rain stopped, the umbrellas were tucked away under fans' seats and it was time to play ball.

The San Francisco Giants played their first Cactus League game against their archrival the Los Angeles Dodgers. The team from the Southern California took an early lead that the Giants were unable to overcome. By the end of the fourth inning the Dodgers were up 6-1. Los Angeles would extend their lead and win the game 10-4.

It was not all doom and gloom for the San Francisco. Shortstop Mauricio Dubón hit a home run in his first time at bat and his next time up he he hit a single.

The Giants will have a chance to get their first win this spring when they play the Oakland Athletics at 12:05 p.m. Sunday at Hohokam Stadium in Mesa, Arizona.
