The Nazare Tow Surfing Challenge has come and gone, but that didn't stop surfers from enjoying the big waves at Nazare, Portugal.
Several surfers such as Sebastian Steudtner, of Germany; Justine Dupont, of France; Garrett McNamara, of the U.S.; turned out for a tow surfing session on Saturday. The pros were rewarded with more epic breaks as these photographs attest.
The official challenge was held Feb. 11 and Kai Lenny won men's wave of the day meanwhile Dupont took the title for women's wave of the day. The breaks have been building-sized and one surfer almost dead during the event at Praia do Norte.
