The Absecon Lighthouse in Atlantic City hosted its annual Evening of Romance & Renewal on Friday for 14 couples who took part in a Valentine's Day Vow Renewal ceremony in the Keeper's Cottage.
The night included a champagne toast of congratulations, dancing and for those looking for a spectacular view of the sunset, a tower climb to the top of the lighthouse.
Jean Muchanic, executive director of the Absecon Lighthouse and a non-denominational minister, led the ceremonies.
It was an emotional night for the couples -- some married only a few years while others for more than thirty -- as tears were shed during the short ceremony.
After the vow renewal Catherine Tidman wiped the tears away from the face of her husband George. The Barnegat couple celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary by attending the ceremony for the third straight year.
